Yoshinori Onda photographed Japan’s representative ancient capitals, Izumo, Kyoto, and Kamakura, between 2023 and 2024. His theme is light and shadow. He visited old Japanese cities and found beauty in the ancient Japanese culture and nature. However, his work is different from the usual photographs often found in tourist guides. He has been shooting cover photos and gravure photos for fashion magazines for many years. His work reflects the taste he has honed in fashion photography. We hope readers who are not satisfied with conventional Japanese landscape photography will enjoy his work.
